PTE ACADEMIC: Some Basic Ideas

          On this post, I would be sharing with you some materials on basic ideas regarding PTE Academic Test. We all know that PTE Tests nowadays have gained popularity due to some reasons like its results are quicker to access comparing to others exams such as IELTS etc. Then it is also a computer based exams in which if one is familiar to computers then that would become an advantage.

Here are basic ideas on PTE Academic Test:

1. Anybody can take the test as long as you are 16 years of age. If one is 16 or 17 years of age, a parental consent is required to be able to take the exams. Meanwhile, the test covers various areas so it doesn't really check on a limited and specific area but somehow, what is being tested is on varying coverages. 

2. The test is not limited to those who are computer literate though it is an advantage however, this involves one's computer ability, then it is an advantage if he is more or less familiar with computers. However to be able to prepare oneself for the actual test, it is beneficial to practice with some exams that are resemblance to the actual test. 3. All the four areas of the test ( reading, writing, listening, speaking) are weighted similarly. And it does not require also that one must come from an English speaking country to book the test. This test is designed even for non- native speakers of English from almost 100 countries so in other words, it is recommended just for anybody who is willing and interested to take it. 

4. One can take the test from any of the testing centres in the world. If one is taking it outside his country of residence, maybe he will be asked to provide a passport of his country of origin. He will also be asked to provide ID so it is better to secure one that is validly recognise as PTE recognised IDs.
